I highly recommend Kevin Kenefick as a Physical Therapist! My sports medicine doctor prescribed PT for both my knees after overworking them through high impact workouts. Kevin was my therapist over 6 months of treatments. During that time he proved to be a dedicated and caring professional. Mr. Kenefick treats his patients with not only hands-on care but also educating his clients about how to avoid possible recurrence. I felt extremely lucky to have been guided by Kevin through this rather painful process as I recovered and fully healed.
I had a severe knee injury that required multiple surgeries and had physical therapy 2-3 times a week. I was very lucky to be able to have Kevin. He always explained to me the purposes of the exercises I was doing, while never talking down to me. He also expressed interest in things with me, which made me feel more comfortable while I was exercising. When I reached a point where I was returning to sports, he always kept me motivated and gave me tips, both from a physical standpoint and as a player. Kevin never hesitated to offer his help outside our sessions if I needed it, and always kept me positive.
Kevin is, without a doubt, the very best physical therapist I have ever worked with. My case was unique and very complicated. Because he is always up to date with the latest techniques and procedures, and he always takes the time to really pay attention and evaluate me at every visit, he was able to help me through challenges that other therapists just could not address. He is always patient, supportive and positive, and he sets realistic goals. After 3 knee surgeries in less than 9 months, it seemed that I would have a permanent limp. But after working with Kevin for a few weeks, after other therapists had given up, he was able to identify problems and implement a program that enabled me to return to a normal gait. I couldn’t be more grateful. He really does care about his patients and it shows in everything he does.
Throughout the toughest challenge of my physical life, Kevin was a linchpin to my healing, providing to an always-on level of care, concern and customized attention that meant so much more than just improved physical health. After a hip replacement, and shortly before the COVID lockdown, I was luckily assigned to Kevin at Professional PT. In a few short weeks, his care and attention to my unique circumstances, he helped me quickly improve mobility, reduce pain, and envision a better tomorrow. But soon after lockdown, my condition went downhill. Months later it would be determined by the original surgeon that I needed surgery again on the same replacement. But the levels of pain I hit during the intervening months were so severe, I reconnected with Kevin to see if we could continue PT on a freelance basis over Zoom. And it was only with his steady, regular, any-time-of-day-or-night care for me and my situation that I was able to stay sane and achieve a level of pain and mobility management that allowed me to continue to work from home - and to live. I can recall to this day, his ability to zero in on the exact problem and get me relief in a matter of a few targeted exercises. I remember my wife and kids overhearing our Zooms and wondering aloud to me who this magical guy Kevin was - as he calmed my worries, anxieties and overwhelm from pain. I hope you never have to endure what I did, and that your care from Kevin is under less-heightened conditions, but please know if your situation goes downhill, he just may be the one to lift you up, and guide you to a mobile, pain-free, better tomorrow.
It has been a pleasure to work with Kevin in a physical therapy facility before the COVID-19 pandemic and after at my home. He is knowledgeable about the body and its structure, has a holistic approach and teaches exercises that one can do without his supervision to maintain strength and improve balance.
