The frequency of physical therapy sessions depends on your specific condition, goals, and progress. Typically, patients attend 1-3 sessions per week, with adjustments made based on your needs and response to treatment. Treatment time can vary and can last between 4 – 8 weeks. Prognosis will be discussed in relation to the severity of symptoms, your desired goals, and the rate of your recovery. Dr. Kevin Kenefick will work with you to create a schedule that supports your recovery and fits your lifestyle.
For your first visit with Dr. Kevin Kenefick, bring the following:
- Comfortable clothing: Wear or bring athletic attire that allows easy movement and access to the treatment area (e.g., shorts for lower body issues).

Kenefick Physical Therapy operates as an out-of-network provider for most major insurances, including Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, Oxford, and UHC. Many plans may cover 50-80% of costs, with the remaining percentage payable by the patient. The team will verify your insurance benefits and provide a clear estimate of costs before your first session.
While not in-network, patients receive one-on-one, hour-long sessions with a highly qualified manual therapists will increase clinical efficiency for a faster recovery compared to typical in-network care models. Insurance is not useable for regular strength training sessions. Payment is due at the time of the session.
